This week is going by so fast. It's Wed. already. :) I hope that all of you are having a fun and crafty week so far. Mine has been a pretty good one. It started off with going to Kidspace with my family. It was a fun place to visit but I am not sure if it was worth the amount that we paid. In comparison to other fun activity museums that we have been to this one was just okay and on the smaller side. Before I share some thing crafty I wanted to share three pictures from the museum. The first one has to do with the bug restaurant that they have. Our kids loved pretending to cook in there. The play food that they had has bugs insides. Here is my hubby ordering some thing from the menu for my daughter to cook for him. Check out the cute name of the restaurant.
Here I am with the ecargot soup that I ordered. Do you see the snails? :)
The last picture from the museum is a picture of my hubby and I sitting on a couch made out of pencils and an eraser.
We took over 300 pictures of the 4 of us doing various activities at the museum, but I thought that some of you may find the three that I posted amusing. Some of you have e-mailed me and commented on my posts that you like the pictures of the food that I have posted. What do you think of my escargot soup? BTW, I do like eating escargot that is made with butter and garlic, but not in soap. Okay now onto a crafty picture. This is what my friend Gail sent to me for our monthly swap. She put tea bags inside the cute purse.
She is always very clever and creative with what she comes up with. Hopefully she will have a blog one day so she could share her wealth of creativity with blogland. Thanks for stopping by.

Quilled Flowers
I am so happy that it is Friday tomorrow and that I have a 3 day weekend. Tomorrow evening I am having dinner with two friends and will attending a Copic marker class. We will be coloring a hibiscus and a plumeria. I can't wait! I am not sure what my family and I have planned for the rest of the weekend, but for sure I am going to get some much needed rest and crafting done. For this tonight, I would like to share with you what I made for good friend for her b-day card.
I also made her a set of quilled flowers and glued them onto paperclips. It was so much fun making the card and clips for her. I heard from her this week and told me that she received her gift, card, and paperclips safely in the mail. I am so glad that I was able to send her some extra love for her b-day even though it was arriving a bit late. Thanks for dropping by to see what I have to share. I hope that all of you will have a fun and relaxing 3 day weekend and will take some time to honor the men of women that serve our country.

Dinner With a Friend and a Flip Card for Her
I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend. Mine was very relaxing and am sad that it's over. For some reason, nowadays, my hubby and I are happy just staying home on the weekends hanging out with our kids not needing to rush to different events. To help start off my weekend with a bang, I went took one of my good friends, Sandy, out to dinner for her birthday. She wanted to go to Soup Plantation. For those of you who do not live in SoCal, it's an all you can eat salad, soups, and muffin buffet. Neither one of us have been there for awhile so it was nice. It was also nice to be able to eat and chat without any interruptions from our kids. :) Here are are enjoying our meals.
Here is a picture of what I ate.
Here is the b-day card that I made for her.
Yes, I finally used my flip it circle die from Sizzix. I was a bit flustered when I first diecutted my card stock because different parts of my paper were cut when they were not supposed to. It turned out the same way twice. Instead of wasting more paper, I decided to google how to use the die. One of the videos that I watched did not use a crease pad and the person's card came out fine. However another one used a crease pad. No where in the instructions that was included with the die did it say to used a crease pad. Thankfully I had a crease pad with my stash of dies. I am very pleased with my card came out. What do you think? :)

This Month's Tea Swap
I am so happy that it's Wed. Work has been super busy so when it's Wed. I feel a since of relief since the weekend is just around the corner. Today I would like to share this months Tea Swap card that I made and received. The optional theme for this month is to make a card with flowers and/use red or green. I have lots of stamps with flowers so it was a bit hard for me to figure out which one I want to use. I pick one of my favorite new sets from Stampin Up called Punch Bunches.
As you can see I incorported the "green" by the tea bags that I sent. This is what Buffie sent to me.
Thanks again Buffie for being such a fun tea swap partner. See you around in blogland!

Happy Mother's Day
I feel very honored to have such special ladies in my life that are older than me like my grandmas, moms, aunts, and cousins as well as some friends and sisters in the Lord. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making such a difference in my life and for being such a blessing to us. Happy Mother's Day to all of you! I hope and pray that you will feel especially honored today for being the great mom that you are and/or being the great role model that you are to those that look up to like a mom.

Generous and Thoughtful Gifts From the Heart
My b-day gifts have been sitting in front of my China cabinet in my dining room for the past few weeks waiting for me to sort them, take pictures of them, and put them away. Last night after dinner, I finally had a chance to work on them. Yes, as promised I am finally posting pictures of some my gifts. I am always very grateful for the generous and thoughtful gifts that I receive, but for some reason this year I am even more amazed by what I received. I feel like my friends went an extra mile this year to get me items in my favorite themes. It's funny that majority of my gifts fell into three categories. These are the crafty items that I received,
the super cute Hello Kitty items,
and the Hawaiian themed items that I received.
I also received several gift cards to my favorite stores along with money from relatives. I appreciate all the special people in my life for making this year's b-day an extra memorable one and for being such a blessing to me. Stay tune for some creative cards that I received for my b-day.

April Anything Goes Swap
Happy Tuesday! I hope that everyone had a good weekend and is having a good week so far. Mine was pretty good and got to do some crafting. Most of it the crafting time was dedicated to preparing for a Mother's Day craft that I was in charge of for 35 kindergarteners to make. Last time I had some time to make some cards for some swaps which I will be sharing in the next few weeks. Today I would like to share what I made and sent to for my "Anything Goes" swap last month. I was paired up with Cely.
This is how my card looks when it is opened.
This is very cute card that she made for me
along with the generous RAK that she included.
I can't wait to use the fun items that she sent to me. I especially like the purple frames. :) Thanks again Cely for being such a great swap partner.

Secret Sister Swap For April
I think all the b-day celebrations has made me very tired. When I am tired I am not in the mood at all to do much but sleep. Besides making the tags for my party favors, the note cards for my friends to write me a message on, and helping my hubby make the name plates for the table settings I have not done any crafting. Yes, I am very behind. Maybe my break from crafting will help my MOJO out. LOL! Before all the parties I did make some thing for the Secreat Sister Swap that I signed up for. This is the pocket that I made for her with the little RAK that I put inside.
Here is the RAK outside of the pocket.
This is what my SS made and surprised me with.
Thank you so Shiela for your cheerful, cute card and for your thoughtful RAK. Come by again soon to see the fun crafty items that I received for my b-day. I am still working on taking pictures of them and am hoping to have a chance to take a picture of everything this weekend. Have a fun and crafty weekend everyone!

Celebrating My B-day Hawaiian Style
Thanks to my hubby and my kids I was able to celebrate with some friends from church, work, and from grad school at one of my favorite Hawaiian restaurants this past Sunday night. We got there a little earlier to set up the decorations and
place cards. My hubby and I worked on the place cards until 1am on Saturday. We thought it would be best to have place cards so that all our friends at the party would be comfortable.
As our friends arrived we gave each of them a lei and I took a picture with them. Benson also gave each of them a note card to write me a message on. (When I read the messages when I got home they were all very touching and brought tears of thankfulness to my eyes.)
As we were waiting our meals to be served I took some group pictures with my guests.
We all enjoyed our ono "Shaka Plate" dinners which includes a mac salad, rice, a musubi, chicken salad, sesame chicken, and BBQ beef.
Before we ate our dinner my hubby lead grace to thank the Lord for our meal, the people that were present to celebrate with me, and a special b-day blessing for me. After dinner everyone sang "Happy B-day" to me before we enjoyed a delicious piece of mango cake.
As my friends were about to leave, I gave each family a bag of Hawaiian cookies with a tag that I made as their "thank you" party favor.
The party on Sunday was perfect. I thank my hubby and our kids are giving me such an awesome party. He not only paid for everything, made the invitations for the party and helped emboss all the tags for the party favors. I feel very blest to have such a wonderful hubby and kids as well as such good friends to celebrate with. I am grateful for all the fun festivities that I have had in the past few weeks. One more party to go. LOL! :)
