A Personal Touch to Each of Our Gifts

My family and I usually just put majority of our gifts in giftbags and personalize each gift with a handmade tag. This year I designed two different tags- one for the adults and one for the kids. The one for the adults has a poisettia on it.

On the back I put a message on it indicating that I chose to put a poissettia on the tag for a specific reason. If you care curious... click on the picture to see what the reason is.
For the tags for the kids I let my kids decorate them.

They did a great job on decoration the trees. My son did well on his first tree, but my daughter only decorated it using purple- her favoirte color. I was able to convince her to use other colors. :) Stay tune for more pictures soon of some of the gifts that I decorated. I hope that all of you are having a good time getting ready for Christmas. It sure is coming up very fast. I remember how it used to take forever to arrive when I was a kid. I think that is what my kids are feeling now.

Christmas Sunday

There's no better way to start off the week of Christmas than to worship the King of Kings. My family and I had a great time worshipping our Lord and Savior yesterday and was reminded of the reason why we celebrate Christmas.

The kids had a special program and

was able to sing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus.

It was very heartwarming to hear the sweet voices of the kids singing. I am sure that Jesus was very happy to hear them singing to Him and honoring Him. We can't wait to celebrate His b-day on Christmas day.

"Tangled"

I'm officially off for Winter Break. I am feel so happy and fortunate to have two weeks off to relax and reflect on the true meaning of this season. Of course before I can relax I need to finish up on making my tags and putting gifts together. I hope that all of you are doing well and are enjoying yourselves. Last Sunday my family and I had a little break from doing all our Christmas stuff and head off to El Capitan to watch "Tangled." We think it is one of the best movies next to "Mulan" and "Beauty and the Beast."

We had VIP tickets so we had got to each enjoy a bucket of popcorn and a drink. Of course we had a great view to watch the stage show and the movie. During the stage show we got to see many of the Disney characters. Here are some of them.

After the movie we went shopping at the Mickey and Minnie Soda Fountain store and

saw some of the kids favorite superheroes and friends from TV.

It was a fun evening out and was great to be able to take a little break from doing all our Christmas stuff. We all loved the move and can't wait to have a chance to watch it again. My daughter wants her hair just as long as Rapunzzles. My son enjoyed the humor in the movie. My hubby and I enjoyed the romantic portions of the movie and of course sheded a tear or two during certain scenes. If you have not seen the movie, yet, my family and strongly encourage you to watch it.

Some Cute, Yummy Treats

I recently received some very cute edible treats from some friends. I received these cookies last month from one of my friend Wynde as a Thanksgiving treat.

My friend Susanna made gingerbread cookies in celebration of the birth of their daughter.

Last but not least are these cute treats from my friend Barbara. She is always so creative in what she comes up with to make.

All the treats were not only cute, but yummy too. Have a great weekend!

Tag Swap

It's been lots of fun participating in a Christmas tag swap for the past 4 months. Each month we are asked to make 3 identitical tags to swap with the person that we are paired up with. Last month we were asked to make 6 tags instead of 3 since we are not swapping this month. I was paired up with Sharon. We were paired up once before for another swap so it was extra fun to be able to make and receive some thing from her again. These are the beautiful tags that she made.

These are the tags that I made for her.

All the tags that I have received have been super cute. I don't know if I can get myself to use them. :)

My First Two Christmas Cards for This Year

I hope that this blog post is finding all of you doing well. I've been doing okay despite being extra busy with work and Christmas being around the corner. I have not had much time to do any crafting, but I do need to get started on making Christmas tags. I have an idea of what I want to make. Now I just need to find the time to put my idea onto paper. :) Today I would like to share the first two Christmas cards that I received. I received them last month as two of my swaps. Gail sent me this card along with some pretty paperclips.

This second one is from Grace.

I love the cards that both ladies made. It gives me some inspiration to make a few Christmas cards. Majority of the ones that my family and I will be sending out are photo cards by Shutterfly. I can't imagine making all the many cards that we will be sending out. Okay onto my daily workout for today and maybe some time to craft. See you again soon.

5 Cards

Sorry I have been MIA all week from blogging. There has been a little more than usual on my "to do list" with work and with Christmas coming up. I am sure that all of you know how I feel. Today I would like to share with you some cards that I received last month along with some cards that I made.
This is from Kris

and this one is from Nancy.

Thanks ladies for such nice cards. These cards are the ones that I made for the swaps that I participated in last month. All 3 cards are actually the same layout with different colors on each one.

Have a great weekend!
