Two Cards With the Same Layout

I hope that all of you had a good week. This is my last full week of summer vacation before I go back to work. I have 3 more days left. :( I don't feel ready to back. I have been having too much fun. Since I need to go back to work next week I have been taking it a bit slower this week. I have not done as much crafting/stamping with exception of doing some tags for a swap. I will share them with you when I receive the swaps in the mail from my partner. Today I wanted to share a card with you using a layout that I have been having a lot of fun with. I posted a card with the same layout a few weeks ago. Here are two more. I hope that you are not sick of seeing cards using this layout. I have only made 3 all together. :)

I hope that find this layout fun and will want to try it out. If you decide to try it out, please be sure to let me see it. Have a great weekend!

A Card Made Using My Favorite Set and Embossing Folder

I made another card using the level two hostess set from Stampin Up, Punched Poisies. Along with that set I used my favoirite embossing folder from SU, the Square Lattice. I love both of them. I have had so much fun using both of them.

Before I end this post for today I wanted to share what one of our good friends sent to us a few weeks ago as our belated anniversary gift. They sent us a beautiful Christian anniversary card that is as nice as a handmade card (They know how much I like cherry blossoms.)

and a very generous giftcard to Islands. They gave it to us from Islands to remind us of our happy times in Hawaii. They know how much we like being there. I hope that this post is finding all of you doing well. Have a great rest of the week.

A Fun Evening Shopping

On Friday I went to several of my favorite stores and did some shopping. My parents took care of our kids, so Benson and I had some fun together and found some good and cute deals. One of the shops that we stopped at was Build a Bear. I received an invitation earlier during the week from them telling me that they will be having new Sanrio characters in the store on Friday through the weekend. I immdediately made reservations to save one of each of them to make. Here I am with my new friends.

Everyone in the store was looking at me like I was nuts. All the characters are very cute, but My Melody is my favorite.

I purchased clothes for each one, but only dressed Hello Kitty at the store. I purchased it for a friend and wanted to take a picture with it to e-mail to her as soon as she received it. Sorry, I am not posting a picture of HK because I want my friend ot be surprised when she receives it.

More Card Swaps

My apologies for going a little out of order in posting cards for different months. I should have shared today's cards on Tues. and shared the ones that I posted that day today. Oh well... :) Today I will be sharing the cards that I made and received for different swaps in July. The first card is a card that I made for my OCS partner Sherri. We were asked to make a card using words as being the focal point.

I put a brad on the corner of the card to hold the two scallop squares together. This is how the card looks paritially opened.

This is the cards that she made for me. Check out how cute the cupcake it. Sherri, thanks for making me such a great card.

Next is a card from my friend Cary. Thanks for remembering how much I love Hawaii and cards with that theme.

I hope that you enjoy the cards that I shared with you today. I probably won't be posting again until next week. I need to catch up on posting pictures on some other posts that I have written, but have not downloaded pictures. If I don't get a chance to post until next week, I hope that all of you have a fabulous weekend.

August Card Swaps

I hope that you are having a good week so far. My family and I have recovered from all the fun that we had at Disneyland over the weekend. We were there for 12 hours. Well, today I would like to share a some cards that I made for some of my swaps for this month with my friends. I was on a roll with making cards using one of the SU hostess sets- Punched Poisies. I think that set is one of my favorites now.

I have received two of the cards from my swaps so far. This super creative card and RAK is from Susanna.

I love how she wrapped the RAK up with polka dotted paper. Check out the cute sticker too.

This very cute card is from Gracie.

I love the DSP and the stamp from Dandelion Designs that she used. That's all I have to share for today. Have a great day!

July RAK Swap and Some Cool Cards

This is the card that I made for July's RAK swap for Jovita. The theme was to make a circle card and as usual send 5 stamped images. I cut two scallop circles using one of my Sizzix dies. I put two brads on the card- one is to hold the two scallops together and the other one is added as an accessory to the card to add a little more to it.

This is the card she made for me and the 5 stamped images that she included.

I have two other cute cards to share with you today from two of my good friends which by the way never ceases to amaze me with their creative cards. The first one is from Gracie. She mailed this card to me in May, but I did not get a chance to post it until now. So sorry for the delay Grace. Check out her coloring using her Copics. Wish I could color like that.

The second card is from Kris. She made a super cute side step card in two of my favorite colors. I told her how much I like the side step card that she posted on her blog and she was nice enough to make me one.

I continue to be inspired by the different cards I receive from swaps from different friends each month. I hope that you are too. :)

A Special Banner

Before I left for my family vacation I was asked to make a banner for a girl's fellowship group at my church that I used to work with. I gladly said "yes" to making the banner since it was for the head teacher of the group, Christine, that will be retiring. They presented it to her on the last night of the fellowship meeting the was on the last Friday of July. I unfortunately was not able to attend the meeting since I was on vacation. This is how the banner came out. (The only requirement was for me to put as many notes written by the girls on the banner as I could.)

As a "thank you" for putting the banner together the teacher,Liz, that asked me to do it baked me her "famous" zucchini cake.

I call it "famous" because everyone that has tasted it loves it. She usually bakes a loaf for different people for Christmas. I was fotunate enought to get a cake. It of course was yummy. Thanks for stopping by today and for your patience in waiting to see my posts of my family vacation in Hawaii. I wrote the post last, but is still working on organizing the many pictures that we took.
