A Big Shot Swap

Happy Wednesday! I hope that this post is finding everyone doing well. I have been doing good even though it's been so hot. My family and I are so happy that we have an A/C. I have finally got into the mood to craft/stamp again. :) I guess visiting different blogs have inspired me to work in some projects. All the blogs that I have visited have BTW been awesome. I will share with you what I have worked on shortly, but today I would like to show you some cards that I received from a Big Shot swap that I particpated in a few months ago. Check out the great cards that I received.

The top center one is the one that I made- the one with an owl. It is always so much fun using my Big Shot. I think that it is best crafting tool that I have purchased.

A Super Generous RAK

Since I did not have anything crafty to post yesterday I thought it would be nice to post some thing crafty today. A friend sent me a super generous RAK last week accompanied by a very cute card.

She had a really cute idea using the gingerbread man die back in December and since then I have not been able to find it. I even called Sizzix directly and they said that it is discontinued. I gave up after hunting low and high for it as well as e-mailing different friends to keep an eye out for it for me. A month ago my friend asked me if I still want the die and told her "yes." A week or two later she sent it to me. It was such an awesome surprise receiving it from her. It arrived at the perfect time to bring a smile to my face as I was going through some trials. I thank the Lord for using this particular friend to be such a blessing to me. I also thank the Lord for all my other friends that were praying for me as I was going through the trials.

A Magical Day

On Monday my family and I went to Disneyland to relax after a busy weekend with celebrating Father's Day. It helped us walk off all the yummy food that we ate during all the festivities. We had a magical 9 hour day there. The highlight of Zach's Day was riding on Indiana Jones' for the second time sitting in the driver's seat and being a whale watcher on the Storybook Land ride.

Kylie's was getting a fairy hat with mouse ears attached to it and taking a picture with Mulan. After all the times that we have been there this is only her second time taking a picture with her. Both of them had lots of fun taking pictures with various characters- Mickey, Minnie, Goofey, Pluto, Belle, and Arial.

Benson and I enjoyed taking a picture with Rafiki

and taking a picture of the villanous from 101 Damations.

Having annual passes has helped us take pictures of several characters that we never took a picture with. All of us enjoyed watching the new parade, Soundtastic, twice.

Since I have been off for summer break for almost a week I have not done any stamping/crafting. Hopefully I will get into the swing of starting on some projects soon. Thanks for dropping by today to see what I have been up to. :)

Last Day For Me

Today was the last day of work/school for the year with the students on campus. Tomorrow is just a brief staff luncheon. Yesterday as I was preparing for today I put some finishing touches on some items that I purchased as end of the year/"thank you" gifts for some of my co-workers. Here are the coconut containers that I got, put a stamped message on it, and filled them up with some salt water taffey.

I also purchased some super cute bags of ice tea that I attached a stamped message on.

Lastly I got some boxes of cookies and some bags coffee from Starbucks. I put the bags of coffee in a bag.

I am thankful for all the teachers, parents and students that God has given me the opportunity to work with. Here are some of them.

I am happy to be able to surprise some of my co-workers with a few goodies once in awhile. I hope that they enjoyed what I gave to them and that you enjoyed what I had to share today.

Last Day of First Grade

My son is officially done with first grade today. My hubby and I thank the Lord for the awesome teacher that he had and for helping him do excetionally well. We are very proud of how God has helped him to mature in all aspects of his life. Here is a picture of him this morning on his way to school with his backpack and a gift for his teacher.

Part of the gift that he gave to her is a batman action figure. She knows how much he loves batman so hopefully everytime she sees the figure it will remind her of how grateful all of us are for her. We gave him a a super hero action figure gift set as a gift for how well he did this year.

My Tea Swap Card and Kim's

So happy that work will be done in a week so I will have a little more than 2 and a half months off for summer break. I can't wait! Between now and next week I need to finish lots of paperwork. :( Along with paperwork to finish up I need to start working on end of the school year gifts for the office staff as well as some co-workers. Stay tune for pictures of what I give to them. For today, I would like to share some cards from this months tea swap. The optional theme for this month is to make a masculine card or a card that has blue and brown in it. I decided to make a masculine card for the person that I was paired up with- Kim.

It was bit of a challenge for me to make the card since I am not used to making masculine cards. I think the card turned okay. What do you think? This is what Kim sent to me.

Thanks again for making me such a detailed and intricate card. Thanks for taking time to see what I have to share today. Take care!

A Memorable Sunday

Today was definitely a day full of many memorable events. This morning was Parents' Day at our church. Parents' Day is an event that the preschoolers and kindergarteners have to honor their mothers and fathers. We were blessed to see our daughter perform with her class. At the end of the program, my hubby and I got to share our testimony.

Both of us were nervous, but we praise God for opportunity to share this morning about how we helped our son accept Jesus into his heart at the end of March. We hope and pray that what we shared today was used by the Lord to speak to everyone in the audience in a very special way. We have definitely been touched by what He has done in our lives. Thank you to all of you who prayed for us. To help end our day we watch Kung Fu Panda 2. What an awesome movie it is. I can't wait to see the movie again. :)I hope that you had as wonderful of a Sunday as I did. Have a blessed week!

Thank You Cards and Treats

I finally got around to making "thank you" cards for my b-day. This is the first one that I made.

After that I decided to make them slightly different.

I like the second version better. Which one do you like better? I also finally finished up making "thank you" treats to all the people that attended my stamp party back in March.

I made the treat toppers in several differnt colors. Along with the treats I included 2 pages of pictures of card samples that I printed out that the demonstrator showed us at my party. Now that these "thank you" cards and treats are done, it's time to move onto making end of the school year gifts for my co-workers. Stay tune for a picture of them shortly.
