A Lovely Dinner Together

My hubby surprised me with a Hello Kitty plush doll and a Hello Kitty bag for Valentine's Day along with reservations to for dinner. I gave him a gift card to Hilo Hattie. We had a lovely evening out on the town and enjoyed a 4 course meal at Roy's on Valentine's Day.

Check out our ono appetizers, soup, salad, main course, and dessert.

Benson's favorite was his appetizer (sear ahi) and main course (butterfish). I enjoyed my maincourse (macadiamian nut crusted mahi mahi) and what he ordered for dessert. We had a nice time out together and can't wait to eat there again. Our kids both were disppointed that we did not bring them with us to dinner so we surprised them each with a little some thing by getting a little some thing from a bookstore.

Belated Valentine's Day Wishes

Happy belated Valentine's Day! So sorry that I did not get a chance to put together this post until today. I hope that all of you had a wonderful Valentine's Day and had a chance to wish and give some extra love to those that you love. My family and I enjoy surprising family and friends with special goodies for different holidays. This is what my son gave to his teacher and his classmates.

My kids a gave their grandparents, aunts, uncles, and godparents a magnet with their picture on it along with a frame. These are the items that I created along with some items that I purchased for good friends.

Here are some of the fun items that my family and I recieved for Valentine's Day.

It's always fun surprising those that we love with goodies and receiveing goodies too. Okay time to get some rest again. I have not been feeling very well so I have been trying to get as much rest as I can. I am feeling a bit tired again so it's time to lie down. See you again soon!

Valentine's Dinner With Our Kids

On the Saturday before Valentine's Day we took our kids to a local Japanese restaurant for dinner. We all love Japanese food so we thought it would be fun to treat them out to one. We ordered the "Love Boat" which had had asssortment of food on it.

It also came with some food on the side because it would not fit on the boat.

The kids thought it was so cool to be served our food on a huge boat. Zach was hoping to be able to bring the boat home to put his superheros on. :) After our delicious meal we ordered one of our favorite desserts, "fried tempura ice cream."

After dinner we ran some errands and went home and gave our kids their Valentine's Day presents. We gave Zach some action figures and gave Kylie a castle. Zach told us that he

Valentine's Day Secret Buddy Exchange

Each morning this week at work I was greeted with a gift in my box by my Secret Buddy for Valentine's Day. These are all the wonderful items that I was surprised with by my SB Vicky.

Thank you so much Vicky for all the great gifts that made each of days even brighter. I was asked to to Heather's SB. Here are some of the items that I suprise her with.

I also made two tags for it to attach to the bags that I gave to her. One of them I think kind of resembles a piece of jewlery from Brighton. What do you think?

I also gave her a rose that lights up, a Valentine stamp, and a box of chocolate. (So sorry at this time I can't seem to find the picture that I took of them.) It is always lots of fun being part of the SB exchange each year. I always look forward to participating in it and finding out who my buddy is.

Catching Up on Blogging

With things being so hectic in planning for Kylie's party for the past few weeks and doing paperwork for work and housework, there has not been much time to do much blogging. I have lots to post, but don't know if I will get around to posting everything. Last month a month after Chrismas I was finally able to get all our "thank you" cards out. I printed a picture of my kids and put in a photo card. Zach wrote a message and I xeroxed it for the inside of the card. For my cards I made this card.

I had lots of fun using one of my new embossing folders from Stampin Up with the snowflakes on it along with one of my all time favoirte folders- Swiss Dots. I had even more fun coloring the little rabbit for each card using my Copics. It was so relaxing to color him. Next I would like to share what I made and sent to my Secret Sister's gift for December. I waited until now to post it because I have not heard if she received it yet. I assume that by now she has.

Lastly, I would like to post a card that my friend Cary sent to me. What an awesome card.

Thanks for dropping by.

Kylie's 4th Birthday Party

Almost two weeks ago we had my daughter's 4th b-day party with a Dora theme with 33 guests that attended. Instead of making decorations we saved time and purchased them.

I added some words to this banner

and made my own little sign near the entrance of our house.

My hubby made "the map" for our guests to write Kylie a message on.

We all enjoyed a nice lunch together. Kylie especially loved all the decororations and playing with all the guests. She of course had a blast wearing her Dora outfit and enjoyed eating her yummy cake

and opening all her presents.

At the end before all the guests left we gave the kids each a bag with some goodies inside as their party favor. I attached a picture of Kylie on a heart shaped tag that said "Gracias."

The winners of the "How Well Do You Know Kylie" quiz/game also received a prize- a gift card to one of Kylie's favorite stores (Target) and her two favorite snacks (M & M's and chocolate chip cookies). I attached to the bags a heart with her picture on it and wrote "You did it."

Happy Chinese New Year

We celebrated Chinese New Year with my husband's family on Sunday. We all had a great time sharing a seafood dinner together. The kids especially enjoyed playing with their grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins. On Sunday we will be having lunch with my husband's family to have a bigger celebration that includes more of his uncles, aunts, cousins, and his grandmother. Later on this month we will be celebrating with my side of the family. Celebrating new years is always lots of fun because we get to eat lots of delicous food, enjoy catching up with family members, and best of all for the kids receiving red packages with money inside.
