Card Swaps For This Month

This month I received two great swaps from two of my friends. We swap cards each month to get inspired to create and to get new ideas. This card is from Cary

and this one is from Gail.

Thanks ladies for the cards. It's always lots of fun receiving cards from you two. These are my cards for our swap this month. One of the cards as you can see I made them in several different colors. Which color do you like the best?

I hope that you were inspired by what I shared today. Happy crafting and/or stamping!

May Tea Swap

I have had so much fun participating in the tea and card swap that I participate in each month organized by a very nice lady named Fran. She was the one that was my swap partner this month. Here is the amazing card she made.

She also sent me some yummy tea. Thanks Fran again for such a great card and for the tea.
This is the card that I made for her.

I made a pocket for on the inside of the card to put the tea bags.

Thanks for sharing some of your day with you. I hope that you have a chance to do lots of crafting this weekend. I hope I do. :)

Secret Sister Swap for April and May

This week feels so long even though it only Wednesday. I have not been in the mood to do any crafting lately until this week. Hopefully I will be in the more of a mood soon since I have so many projects that I need to work on. I have continue to enjoy the secret sister swap each month. Last month I sent a basket made with my Stampin Up Petal Cone die along a few fun crafty items for her.

This month this is what I sent to my secret sister

and this is what my secret sister Karen made for me along with what she sent to me.

I love the card and the stamps that she used on it. Thanks again Karen for such an awesome card and for the extra goodies. Thanks to all of you for taking some time from you day to see what I have to share.

Some Presents

My b-day was a little less than a month ago. I am very grateful that I was able to celebrate the life that He has given to me with all the different people in my life that I love. I am also grateful for the extra love and generosity that I have been shown by all the many goodies that I received. Here is a picture of some of the crafty and Hello Kitty items that I received.

Among some of the gifts that are not pictured here are gifts cards to different craft stores, Target, and to one of my favorite stores- Brighton, Brighton jewlery, lotion, tea, and some snacks. I also received 3 seasons of one of my favorite TV shows from my hubby and my kids- "Criminal Minds." In addition to the lovely gifts that I just mentioned, a good friend made me an apron using tropical floral material and another good friend made me a huge cupcake card using her Cricut.

I received many b-day cards, but here are the handmade ones that I got.

Big hugs to all of you that sent me a card and/or gift for my b-day. Your thoughtfulness and love for me touches my heart and will forever be treasured.

Happy Mother's Day!

I feel so blest to be a mom to two cuties and to be a role model to great students at church and at work. I thank the Lord for each of them and pray that God will help me to be a good example of a godly woman to each of them. I also thank the Lord for all the special ladies in my life that have impacted my life in such a special way. Big hugs to all of you! Before I end I want to additionally thank the Lord for the opportunity to worship Him today and to honor my mother, MIL and my aunts. My family and I have a special luncheon with my family in Little Tokyo and dinner with my hubby's family at my SIL's house.

Celebrating Mother's Day With My Hubby and Kids

The 4 of us went out for dinner to one of my favorite restaurants to celebrate Mother's Day. I ordered clam chowder, steak, and fried shrimp.

Are you surprised it is not Japanese food? After dinner we had tiramisu cake for dessert.

My hubby and my kids surprised me with a special trip for my gift. I was totally suprised and was so overwelmed with love by what they surprised me with. I can't wait to go! Here are some of the gifts that I put together for some of our family and friends for Mother's Day.

I hope that all of you have a wonderful time honoring and celebrating Mother's Day tomorrow with your grandmothers, mothers, aunts, godmothers and all the special ladies in your life.

Cards For Two Friends

I hope that everyone is having a good week. I am so happy that it's almost the weekend. I've been a bit under the weather this week, but thankfully I am feeling better today. I have not been doing much crafting until last night when I had to put a few gifts together for some friends at work for Mother's Day. I will share what I did for them as well as some family members in a post on the weekend. Today I will be sharing two cards that I made for two friends. This one was for my friend Kris. She loves monkeys just like I do.

This is how the card looks when you open it.

This is the one I made for Gracie.

Both of them have the same layout and open up the same way. I had lots of fun making the cards for them and thought that they turned out pretty cute. I hope that you enjoyed what I had to share for today.

The Last One

This weekend I had the last b-day celebration for this year. Yes, celebrating b-days in my family are done on several different days with different important people in our lives. First I had a get togethe with with my good friends. Then a date with my hubby. Third was dinner with my immediate family on my actual b-day. On Saturday we went to one of my favorite Japanese restaurants with my parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and my immmediate family. (My aunt ever since my sister's and I were young treated the whole family out to a restaurant of our choice for our b-day. She continues to be generous in doing this and have even included our children and spouses in the special tradition for their b-days.)

Unfortunately my sisters and BIL were not able to make it to the dinner. We all had a delicous meal and had either vanilla, green tea, or red bean ice cream as a complimentary gift from the restaurant for my b-day. Like many of my family members, I ordered the special.

I had red bean ice cream for dessert.

I don't usually care for red bean soup, bread, etc, but the ice cream was super ono. As usual celebrating my b-day with the special people that God has placed in my life has been super fun and memorable. Thanks also for all the generous and wonderful gifts that many of you have given to me.
