For the Secret Sister swap last month I was asked to surprise Miyuiki a creation from my heart. I know that she loves Hello Kitty so I thought it would be fun to surprise her with a card with Hello Kitty on it and with a RAK with her on it. I have been on a roll with making "summer" themed card so I made Miyuki a card with Hello Kitty going surfing.
I had lots of fun making the card since I love "summer" themed cards and of course I love Hello Kitty. :) Kathy was my Secret Sister for last month. Yes, I was lucky enough to have her as my Secret Sister and my Anything Goes swap partner. This is what the super cute card that she made for me along with the RAK that sent to me.
Thanks again Kathy for being such a fun swap partner for both swaps.

Birthday Cards
It's always fun surprising friends with a card that you made from you heart for their b-day. I always try to incorporate what they like into the cards that I made for them. Here is one of the b-day cards I made recently.
This friend likes handmade flowers so that is what I made to put on her card. For the flower I created it using one of the Stampin Up border punches and twirled it around on a circular piece of card stock. Here is a second b-day card that I made recently.
One of the favorite colors that this particular friend likes is red. I quilled a red flower for her with lots of red in the background. I know she likes the color purple too, but unfortunately I did not have any purple qulling strips so I could not make any flowers in that color. The card is made by cutting two scallops on the Circle Scallop Bigz die. I put a brad to hold the two scallops together. Here is how the card looks open.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Any Goes Swap for June
It's been a busy summer for my family and I, but we are enjoying our time together, with family, and friends. Even though I have not crafted as much as I would like, I am still grateful for the times I can craft and relax. Today I would like to share with you what I made and received for last month's "Anything Goes" swap. The theme to follow was "summer." Kathy and I were paired up for the swap. I had a fun making this flip card for her. I used some of my stamps from Taj. Here is the front of the card.
Here is the back.
Kathy made this fabulous card and sent me a nice RAK.
Thanks Kathy for being such a fun swap partner. I thought it was extra fun being paired up with Kathy since we have met each other previously. It's a little more fun receiving "happy mail" from someone that you know.

Good Time of Fellowship Quilling and Eating
Today I attended a quilling class at a local scrapbook store. The goal of the class is to quill two zebras- a mommy zebra and a baby zebra.
Here is my friend Esther and I with our new pets.
It was a bit time consuming to make so we only had a chance to make one zebra. We could have stayed to make the baby one, but our stomachs were growling. To satisfy our stomachs, we went to have lunch the Peach Cafe. We both ordered the almond oatmeal pancakes with eggs. It was delicious! Here we are enjoying our meals.
Before leaving Esther surprised me with this cute RAK. I love it! She made me a heart box using the Big Shot Pros Heart die. I'm sure if you can see it, but she attached a Hello Kitty charm onto the ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope that everyone is having a good weekend so far.

Belated B-day Gifts
I hope that all of you had a great 4th of July. My family and I all slept in, had brunch, and then were off to an arboretum. It was beautiful seeing God's creations- several peacocks, flowers, trees, ducks, and turtles. It was also interesting visit a barn and a frontier. In the evening we were going to go to the park to to watch the fireworks and go to some fun booths, but we were too tired after our afternoon at the arboretum. Well, today I would like to share two belated b-day gifts from two friends that I received last month. The beautiful card and gift are from Jen.
The cute tag and gift are from Shirl.
I appreciate both of them for their friendship and their generosity in surprising me with a b-day gift. Before ending this post today I wanted to share a picture that we took at the arboretum. It was so awesome to see the peacocks feathers all fanned out. No matter how many times I have seen them fanned out I am always amazed of how they look. When looking at them up close the feathers really do not look real.
Thanks for stopping by today. Happy crafting and God bless!

Happy Independence Day!
Happy 4th of July! God bless American...our home sweet home! My family and I are very grateful to God that we live in this country for many reasons. Our top one is that we have the freedom to be a Christian, to worship God and to serve Him. Have a blessed day everyone!

Time With Hello Kitty and Time With A Good Friend
Happy July! I can't believe that this year is half over. 2012 is sure flying by. I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend. I had a pretty good one even though I did not do any crafting until Sunday evening. On Saturday I did a little a bit of crafting with my daughter at a Hello Kitty activity time that I signed her up for at a local education store. We painted and decoupaged a frame with Hello Kitty on it.
Both of us had fun making the frame and doing different activities with a Hello Kitty theme, but our favorite part was of course taking a picture with Hello Kitty. My daughter was super happy that Hello Kitty was wearing a different outfit from the previous times that we have taken a picture with her. Many of the moms like me took a picture with her too. :)
Sunday evening I made a purse using the Stampin Up purse die. (The purse is not very big, but I was able to fit a versa fine spot pad in it.)
Here is the side view of the purse
and the back of it.
I made it for a good friend that I met up with this afternoon to do some crafting. Each time we get together we surprise us each other with some thing crafty. This is what my friend made for me.
Here we are with our gifts from each other.
We had a nice time chatting and playing with some of my quilling dies and dies from Die-namics that I have been itching to use. Here are the flowers that we made.
