Some Extra Love

Towards the end of 2010, it was a very stressful and scary time for my family and I due to a family emergency. All the honor goes to God for how He answered our prayers and worked the situation out. We also thank Him for the strength to go through the situation and for the wonderful family and friends that He has blest us with. All the prayers,encouragement, e-mails, cards, and visits will forever be treasured. As we were recovering from the emergency we were suprised with some extra love from different people. Here are some of the gifts that we received.


It touches my heart and my families for the love and support of our family and friends. We thank each of you from the bottom of our hearts for how you have touched our lives.

Kylie's Birthday in Downtown Disney

I can't believe it. It was exactly a week ago that Kylie turned 4 years old. Last Saturday my family and I spent most of the the afternoon and evening celebrating her special day at Downtown Disney. If she has a choice she will be at Disneyland everyday. :) We started by walking around a bit at the hotels and at a garden. The kids had lots of fun running around on the grass and/or paths

and singing and dancing on the gazebo. We also had some fun taking pictures.


Then we went shopping before dinner.

We made reservations at Goofy's Kitchen for dinner.

The kids had so much fun eating their last year that we thought it would be fun to have dinner there for her b-day. The actual restaurant was being remodeled so we go to eat in one of the big ballrooms. The food was yummy and




of course the entertainment was lots of fun with the Disney chartacters walking around. Benson's favorite dish was the Smoked Salma and mine was between the peanut butter pizza and the smoke salmon. Zach liked the friend shrimp, grilled salmon, and the lemon bar. Kylie liked the friend shrimp, pasta, and grilled salmon.
That evening we saw Goofy,Pluto,

Minnie,

Alice,

Alladin,

Chip,

and Dale. (Sorry I did not take a picture of Dale or Goofy by themselves.)
Kylie kept asking Alladin where Jasmine, Abu, and the Genie are. He told her they are busy. To this day she often asks us why they kept tellin her that they are busy. Her favorite person to take a picture with was of course Alice. I think she likes her almost as much as she likes the princesses. She was a bit disappointed to not get to see any of the princesses. Before we left Goofy's Kitchen all the waiters, waitresses and all the guests sang "Happy Birhtday" to Kylie. Our waitress
gave Kylie a chocolate cupcake with

Mickey Mouse on it and

Mickey shaped sprinkles on it.

After dinner we took some pictures by the castles in the ball room and
did some more shopping and walking to walk off all the food we ate.



As we were walking to the car we enjoyed looking at Downtown Disey all lit up.



We all had fun celebrating Kylie's b-day together but were exhausted at the end of the night. We spent a total of 5 hours in Downtown Disney. We hope that you enjoyed looking and reading about her special day. Next weekend we will be having a party at our house for her. Stay tune for pictures of the party. Have a great weekened.

Secret Santa Swap

I signed up for a Secret Santa swap last month. Bernice all the way from Mexico City was the person that was assigned to suprise me with some thing. Here is what she sent my way.

Bernice, thank you so much for the card and the goodies. I hope that you received some fun items from the person that you was assigned to shower you with some goodies. I was assigned someone to be a Secret Santa to too. I have not received word that she has received it yet so I can't post what what I have sent to her. I will post what I made and sent to her as soon as I know that she has received my package. I don't want to spoil the surprise. :)

Happy Birthday Kylie

Happy 4th b-day to our dear little princess. It was 4 years years ago today that you were born.

We all feel so blest to have you in our family. You are such a spunky, sweet, cute and bright little girl. We could not have asked for a better daughter/sister. We thank the Lord for you and look forward to celebrating this special day with you. We love you very much. Big hugs and kisses always. Stay tune for how we celebrated her birthday today.

Dinner at Islands

It is our daughter's 4th birthday tomorrow. In 12 hours a year ago our dear little princess joined our family. We remember how nervous we were about having the c-section, but was very excited for her birth. Today we had a pre-birthday dinner for her at Islands.

We ordered artichoke dip and chips as our appetizer and each ordered our favorite dish from the menu that we usually order. We ended our dinner with singing "Happy Birthday" and sharing a piece of Kona Pie.

What a nice way it was to start off her birthday. Stay tune for how my daughter celebrates her big day.

Baby Bibs and a Year of the Rabbit Card

Last week I made two different baby bibs using a the Sizzix scallop die. One was for a friend's baby shower. She is having a baby boy and is decorating his room with a Snoopy theme. I got a Snoopy diaper bag along along with matching bottles, pacifier, and wash cloth. To keep with the theme of the gift I made her a bib with Snoopy on it.

The other baby bib for this months tea swap that I signed up for. We had the option of making a baby card or a new years card. This what I came up.

Brenda, my tea swap partner, made this Year of the Rabbit card for me along with two tea bags. Here is the front of the card. Check out the bling!

Christmas Cards and Tags

Sorry for being so late in posting cards and some crafty goodies from Christmas. Here are some super cute creative cards,



tags and gifts that I received




along with some items that my kids made.

Next I would like to share the accordion card that I made for my cousin who is training to be in the army. Actually my students at worked together created the card. Each one colored and wrote her a special message. (Each year, I have a lesson on writing a letter and explain to the students how important it is to be grateful for the men and women that serve our country. By sending them a card for Christmas is one way that we can honor them and to say "thanks.")


Last but not least I would like to share some fun gifts that I received.

I am grateful to all of you out there that sent/gave me gifts and/or cards. Each of your gifts and most importantly the friendsthips that I share with each of you mean so much to me. I hope that all of you are having a good 2011 so far. Have a blessed rest of the year.
