A Visit With Chuck and The Gang at Knott's

Yesterday my family and I went to Knott's Berry Farm and had a blast hanging out with Charlie Brown and the gang. We had fun sitting on the rides, watching the stage shows,

the parade,

going shopping,

eating,

and taking pictures with some of the characters.

We were lucky to get to take pictures with so many of them. My daughter was the most happy taking pictures with Peppermint Patty- her favortie Peanut's character.
My favorite was the decorations around the amusement park

and the evening stage show. I especially loved the part where Linus recited a verse from the Bible and talked about the true meaning of Christmas. Before leaving for the amusement park after a fun 12 hours there, we took pictures in front of the Knott's courthouse.

Mints For My December Swaps

I swap cards with good friends through snail mail once a month. Because of the craziness this month instead of a card I made them each a set of these. Making these helps remind me that we have "JOY" at Christmas because of Jesus.

Embossing these images and using my scallop punch to cover mints were much faster than making a card for each of them. In addition, I made each of them a medallion, the same ones that I made for my gift tags.

Christmas Day

I hope that all of you had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas. My family and I had a good time celebrating the joyous holiday. We started the beautiful day at church. The children's departments had a special program with a story about the first Christmas when Jesus was born

as well a b-day cake for Jesus' b-day.

Here is my dear daughter in the maroon and black dress helping lead worship.

Here is my son singing "Silent Night" in Chinese with his peers during the adult worhship.

During the breaks between worship and Sunday we had a chance to take pictures with some our good friends.

After worship we took an annual picture in front of the Christmas tree in front of the sanctuary.

Then we were off to our house for diem sum with my family

followed by opening gifts, singing "Happy B-day" to Jesus,

and then off to my cousin's house for dinner. It was lots of fun seeing all my aunts, uncles, and cousins. Here is my cousin Gracie saying grace

before we had dinner together.

It was a very long, but fun day. I was definitely loosing steam by 8pm or so because my hubby and I were up until 3am Sunday morning working on getting ready for the special day. I am grateful for a relaxing today where I can just do nothing. :) Thanks for stopping by today. Please be sure to check out my posts in the past few days. I wrote a post for each one, but just did not have time to post pictures for it until today.

Happy B-day Jesus!

Happy B-day Jesus! Long ago Jesus was born so that we can have hope. When He was born 3 wisemen came to visit Him and each gave Him precious gifts. What gift will you be giving to Jesus today for His b-day? We are still praying and considering what we can do to honor Him today. Praying that you will too. Merry Christmas and God bless!

Playing Santa's Elf

Happy Christmas Eve everyone! It's been a mad rush for my family and I to get things all set for tomorrow. We've been Santa's little elves- last night and part of today delivering gifts. It's been lots of fun showing some extra love to family and friends as we celebrate Jesus b-day. Here are the tags that I have been making.

Here is a close up of some of them.

I used white flocking for the furry portion of the stocking.

I made some different one for a few of my co-workers with the characters that they like. :)

I hope that all of you do not need to stay up too late to prep for tomorrow. I sure hope that I don't.

I Have Lots to Share

Yikes! Two more days until Chirstmas. I've been off from work since Wednesday, but it seems like I am doing things slower than I did when I was working. I must be getting tired. LOL! I saw on someone's Facebook post today that they wish that Christmas was 5 days away instead. I of course "LIKED" her post. Well, today I have several things that I would like to post. First are the cards from the tea swap for this month. This is what I made for Karen

and this is what she made for me.

Thanks again Karen for such a nice card and for the cute tea pouch. Next I would like to share what my son and I made together for his card exchange for his class. Each person was asked to make a card as part of their homework this week for the person that whose name they picked out from a bag. He used my Big Shot to emboss the background,

my circle punches for the snowman,

drew in the parts of the snowman's face, tore paper for the snow, put rhinestones on the snowflakes, glued all the parts of the card together,

and wrote a message in the card. I helped him punch out snowflakes and make a hat for his snowman. This is how the card that we made together turned out.

My son actually did most of the work. I just supervised. Before he went to bed he thanked me for helping him with the card and told me that he always likes making things with me. The last thing that I would like to share with you today is the yummy cookies that one of my friends dropped off at my house yesterday.

Before my friend and her hubby left I took a picture with them.

Thanks again Lorraine and John for taking time to make the cookies for me and for dropping them off. Okay, my blogging friends. Have a productive day! I am going to try to have a productive one. :)
